Distinguished Teaching Fellowship

Dr Tara Moore, 31, a lecturer in the School of Biomedical Sciences, has been awarded a Distinguished Teaching Fellowship by the University of Ulster.The award recognises Dr Moore’s outstanding contribution to the teaching of immunology and e-learning within the School.
A native of Castledawson, Dr Moore educated at QUB, joining the University of Ulster in 2001 as a lecturer in immunology: in addition to teaching, she also leads an active research career investigating the immunology of the eye.

Dr Moore has been involved in developments in e-learning courses and Masters programmes for professions allied to medicine.

Within the School of Biomedical Sciences, Dr Moore has consistently achieved the highest quality assessments in student evaluation of teaching, reflecting her dedication to teaching within the university.

She is married with two children – Leon and Macy – and lives in Ballyclare.
